JANUARY'S 2012 STUDENT OF THE MONTH!!

January's student of the month is a fourth grade Spanish student. He is very respectful in class and shows great talent in speaking and understanding Spanish. He has ten chickens and a dog. He enjoys basketball, reading and all sorts of sports. He loves Italian food and listens to country music. His favorite books are Eragon, the Harry Potter and Percy Jackson series, and Redwall. He has been to Hawaii, Kentucky, Utah and California. The one thing he likes most about ALA is his friends. Congratulations to our Spanish Student of the Month!! Thank you for being a Leader in Spanish class at ALA!!!

This year is going to be an amazing year with our K-5 ALA Spanish students! We have many wonderful activities for our ALA students to do this year while incorporating the seven Covey Habits! In addition, for kindergarten through third grade we have participation tickets they may earn which then will be placed in a drawing for monthly prizes. For those older students, fourth and fifth grades, we have the World Cup. Each class will choose their team's country and through classroom participation will be given points towards the World Cup. After the first two quarters, the points will be tallied and the winning team will have the opportunity to hit a candy filled pinata and enjoy the dulces!! It will be a rewarding year for ALL!!
