4th and 5th graders!!

The 4th and 5th grade students last week had the privilege of writing Christmas cards in Spanish to children in Guatemala.  They learned that these children may not have a Christmas because they live in an orphanage in Guatemala.  Our ALA students were proactive and many of them showed genuine interest in writing the children of Guatemala a beautiful Christmas letter.  We are proud of our ALA Spanish students!!!  Way to go!!

November's Student of the Month

This month we have a third grader who has shown great enthusiasm in speaking Spanish at ALA.  He is always on task and is a fabulous leader as an ALA student.  There are eight members in his family, oh and nine if you include his cat "Skitty."  He enjoys basketball, tetherball, soccer, hiking, running and playing the Nintendo.  In his free time he'd rather be outside playing.  His favorite movie is any of the Scooby Doo series.  His favorite food is macarooni and cheese and his favorite book is The Football Genius.  He has been to Disneyland, Sea World, St. George, UT, Moab, UT, the Four Corners' Monument, and Mesa Verde, CO.  What he likes most about ALA is the new building.  Congratulations to our outstanding Student of the Month!!!
